Winter in Paris has never been so enchanting. Each year, from mid-November, the City of Light wraps itself in a cloak of music, lights, and sweet aromas.
Between the scent of mulled wine, handmade crafts, and glowing decorations, the Paris Christmas markets offer a stroll through wonder — where tradition meets contemporary charm.
The Christmas Village at La Défense — The Largest in Île-de-France
On the Parvis de La Défense, between shimmering skyscrapers and festive lights, rises one of France’s largest Christmas markets.
From November 13 to December 28, 2025, the La Défense Christmas Village hosts hundreds of wooden chalets filled with artisan gifts, gourmet treats, and festive surprises.
There’s an ice rink, raclette and mulled wine stands, concerts, and dazzling light displays that turn this business district into a magical winter village. At night, the contrast between Christmas lights and modern architecture is simply breathtaking.
Hours: Mon–Wed 11am–8:30pm; Thu 11am–10pm; Fri–Sat until 11pm; Sun 11am–8:30pm.
Access: Metro line 1 — La Défense Grande Arche stop.
The Magic of Christmas at the Tuileries Garden — Paris’ Festive Heart
Replacing the former Champs-Élysées market, La Magie de Noël now takes place in the Jardin des Tuileries, nestled between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde.
From November 15, 2025, to January 4, 2026, it becomes a wonderland for families and couples alike — complete with a Ferris wheel, funfair rides, gourmet village, artisan chalets, and a sparkling ice rink.
By day, it’s filled with the aroma of roasted chestnuts; by night, it glows like a fairytale come to life.
Hours: usually 11am–11:45pm.
Access: Metro Tuileries or Concorde.
The Notre-Dame Christmas Market — Artisans in the Heart of Old Paris
In the Square René-Viviani, facing the cathedral, the Notre-Dame Christmas Market returns from November 28 to December 25, 2025.
This cozy and elegant market brings together about thirty artisan stalls offering handcrafted jewelry, scarves, wooden toys, and regional delicacies.
It’s a magical place to sip hot chocolate under the shadow of Notre-Dame’s illuminated towers.
Hours: Daily 10am–8pm (until 9pm on weekends).
Access: Metro Saint-Michel or Cité.
The Eiffel Tower Christmas Village — A Fairytale Setting
Few places are more iconic than the Champ-de-Mars Christmas Village, set at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
With its cozy chalets, regional delicacies, and stunning backdrop, it’s one of the most photographed Christmas markets in Paris.
Exact 2025 dates are still to be confirmed, but it traditionally runs from late November through early January.
Access: Metro Bir-Hakeim or RER Champ de Mars–Tour Eiffel.
Montmartre’s Christmas Markets — Parisian Charm on the Hill
In the cobblestone streets of Montmartre, the Abbesses and Place du Tertre Christmas Markets exude a quaint, village-like atmosphere.
Instead of crowds, you’ll find warm, artisanal charm: handmade crafts, glowing garlands, mulled wine, and Christmas choirs echoing through the hilltop square.
A perfect stop for a unique gift — and one of the most romantic walks in Paris.
Dates: TBC
Access: Metro Abbesses or Anvers.
